At long last, Adelaide can now welcome back to its facilities delegates from the eastern states. The Australian state has been operational successfully hosting events for some time now, proving that a safe environment is guaranteed for visitors.
Adelaide Convention Bureau (ACB) had already organised a ‘test-run, putting together an event for more than 150 delegates, which resulted in more confidence for event organisers. In fact, ACB has managed to secure an 85 per cent postponement rate of their 2020 business events into the new year.
Adelaide Convention Bureau (ACB) Chief Executive Damien Kitto says: “Adelaide has shown that a COVID-SA FE event with a well-rehearsed plan was entirely doable for larger and larger events. Good hygiene throughout, social distancing, and exceptional logistics for people movement and seating totally succeed. We also displayed the capability to provide high quality ‘boxed’ food at scale. It worked for exhibitors as well as delegates, guest speakers and panellists.”
