MEET TAIWAN, the Japan Convention Management Association (JCMA) and the Asia Venue Alliance (AVA) have launched CSR Day, a regional initiative to strengthen sustainability collaboration across convention and exhibition venues in Asia.
Announced on 16 March 2026, the initiative invites venues to stage simple sustainability and community engagement activities on 15 May 2026, from incentives for visitors using reusable cups to small local performances.
The launch coincided with a Sustainability Venue Collaboration Meeting, where venues from Taiwan and Japan exchanged practical strategies on sustainable venue management and net-zero development. Participating venues included ICC Tainan, Pacifico Yokohama, Taipei International Convention Center, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and Osaka International Convention Center.
The Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) and several AVA member venues also joined online, including Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, Borneo Convention Centre Kuching and Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center.
Organisers hope to expand the initiative and build the meeting into an ongoing platform for regional sustainability dialogue and cooperation across the business events sector.
