Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, obtaining its first ISO 20121 certification for event management CSR, a first of its kind globally.
Additionally, the venue adds a sixth ISO 14001 certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development.
Sylvie Biancheri, General Manager of the Grimaldi Forum, said: “We were already naturally very involved in CSR, and our customers praise the Grimaldi Forum for its ability to support them in this area. This certification has enabled us to structure and formalize our approach, in addition to our strong environmental commitment“.
Since 2000, the Forum has prioritized a human-centric approach, with 100% of permanent staff on open-ended contracts and a diverse workforce representing 20 nationalities.
In line with Monaco’s sustainable development policy, the Grimaldi Forum’s sixth ISO 14001 certification recognizes it as a pioneer in Europe.
The eco-friendly venue, using 100% green energy, has improved energy efficiency by 35%, doubled its waste sorting rate, and reduced water consumption per visitor by over 50%. The Forum actively engages in local charity support, combats food waste, and collaborates with responsible suppliers.
The double certification underscores the Grimaldi Forum’s dedication to a sustainable future, involving stakeholders at every level in their CSR project.
