Perth, Western Australia, has secured the prestigious Routes Asia 2025 event, outshining international competition.
This key aviation and tourism conference is set to attract over 1,100 delegates, injecting more than $6 million into the local economy and bolstering Perth’s role as Australia’s western gateway.
Organized by Tourism Western Australia and Perth Airport, Routes Asia 2025 will convene leading decision-makers from the aviation industry, highlighting Perth’s strategic importance in global aviation and tourism.
Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti and Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer, Kate Holsgrove, emphasized the event’s significance in promoting direct flights, enhancing international connectivity, and showcasing Perth as a prime destination for business and leisure.
Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti said: “Direct flights and aviation links are a key part of our tourism strategy, and we’re really proud to have secured or relaunched 18 direct flights with international destinations since borders reopened last year. Routes Asia will provide a fantastic opportunity to continue our engagement with key players in the aviation industry and keep advocating for more services into Western Australia. The event will also position our State as a world-class host of business events and give leaders from the aviation industry a chance to experience our beautiful city first-hand.”
