Seoul Emerges as a Global Hybrid Destination

3rd November 2021

Last week, Seoul successfully completed the hybrid program of the 2021 ICCA Congress as a hub destination for the second year. It will also serve as a global hybrid meeting point for the World Congress of Neurology (WCN) 2025 and the World Congress of Audiology (WCA) 2026.

During the ICCA Congress, Kim Jihyun, Director of the Seoul Tourism Organization, participated in a panel discussion for the Asia Pacific region in the morning and converted into one of the three moderators in the afternoon. Lectures were broadcasted to other hubs before each panel discussion to broaden knowledge as exchanges of in-depth thoughts and opinions on the same topic were followed – a clear illustration of the advantages of hybrid conferences.

The upgraded version of Seoul’s 3D event hosting platform – called Virtual Seoul – will soon be launched this month. Seoul also recently joined the Hybrid City Alliance, which won the Best Marketing Award at 2021 ICCA Congress.
