ICCA Best Marketing Award 2020 Goes To Kuala Lumpur

At the conclusion of the 59th International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Congress, it was announced that the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) was one of five winners of the Special Edition ICCA Best Marketing Award 2020.

A collaborative partnership, which was launched in May 2020, with Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO), helped Kuala Lumpur to receive recognition of its Leadership in Transformation. The successful partnership aimed at heightening the education of professional congress organisers (PCO) in Malaysia to service international congresses and conferences.

Participants were given access to the IAPCO webEDGE online education platform which provides a globally accredited learning solution for acquiring a high-standards skill set. The KLCC’s General Manager, Alan Pryor shared, “We applaud ICCA’s initiative to bring forward and share these great inspiring stories from leaders of our industry. It is much needed to boost our morale during this very challenging times and to see how our industry friends all over the world have persevered, maintained resilience and positivity so our industry will recover and continue to make a meaningful social and economic impact throughout the world.”
